As a doctoral student in Informatics, I am currently exploring the ways people, technology, and society intersect. My interests are developing as I learn more about the field, engage with different areas of research, and identify questions that I want to investigate more deeply. I am particularly interested in questions surrounding how emerging technologies affect people and communities, including issues of fairness, privacy, trust, transparency, and equity. Rather than limiting my work to a single topic, I am interested in exploring different sociotechnical questions and understanding how research can contribute to the design and use of technologies that better serve the people who interact with them.

Current Areas of Exploration:

  • Human-centered computing
  • Sociotechnical systems
  • Artificial intelligence and society
  • Privacy and trust
  • Fairness and equity in technology
  • Human-centered cybersecurity
  • Technology and its impact on diverse communities

This page will evolve as my research interests develop throughout my doctoral studies ♥
